Our Podcast paints a picture of people and places that ARE the characters in each story, How they came to be And the actual donut and coffee crowd that’s inspired many stories and most of the characters.
Set mainly in Alaska, Ron’s books include themes of Crime, Gold Fever, Native American Lore, International Intrigue, Cartels, Terrorists, Wild West Namesakes and of course Alaska’s wildlife.
His novels, 14 as of 2023, are self-published by a small staff at Ugly Moose AK’s World Headquarters in Soldotna, Alaska, With lots of printing and distribution help from Ingram Spark. You’ll love his books And the Podcast, which will not include spoilers!

It’s been around since the 1700s. A catch phrase selling donuts, coffee and art. It even helped elect presidents. It just sounds nice. Optimistic even. Like Ron. It goes like this:
As you ramble through Life, Brother,
Whatever be your goal.
Keep your eye upon the doughnut,
And not upon the hole.
